In 2005 I attended a Vitality and Health Show at Olympia London where I was given this free book. Unfortunately I cannot remember the name of the book anymore as I have since given it to a good friend. All I remember is that I could not put that book down as I began to read.

It was a book on finding your inner self and in one chapter it tried to make you realise the artistic and creative side of your nature.  That was an interesting read because it made me think about my artistic and creative side, a side I thought never existed.  It was not long before I started making handmade greeting cards and after many attempts I mastered what was unique to me. Each card I made told a story and I remember when I sold my first card, it made me feel so proud given the amount of work and thought it took into making it.  It was soon after that I attended my first school fayre and I was given very positive feedback from parents and pupils and after that there was no stopping me.

I soon learnt other crafts which were equally enjoyable.  I started to learn how to make jewellery in the beginning of 2008 which I really enjoyed but soon everything changed.  I had a brain haemorrhage and stroke.  I did not think much about my crafts until some months later, in fact it was the crafts that really kept me going and I found that jewellery making was the ideal way of life now for me and I take more pride in my work and that's for all the crafts I do as I know how much more harder it is to complete my work. But that rewarding feeling of being able to finish a project and making somebody happy with it is the best feeling you could have!

Everyone has hidden talents in them and we are all unique in our own way, embrace each day for you never know what's around the corner.

Kind Regards,

Myra
